To complete our campaigning team in Central and Eastern Europe we are looking f
or:
Flexible Campaigner
Objectives: Campaign work for a cross-border campaign project in Hungary, Slova
kia and Romania during 2002; development and implementation of political strate
gies and campaign; contact and co-operation with internal and external partners
of Greenpeace; giving interviews; answering media-requests; writing of expert
materials
Qualifications and Requirements: Experience in campaign and NGO work; strong wi
ll to bring about changes; political understanding on a regional and internatio
nal level; strategic and communicative skills; media experience
Media officer
Objectives: Media, PR and campaign support for a cross-border campaign project
in Hungary, Slovakia and Romania during 2002; development and implementation of
communication strategies; on-line media-work; writing and editing of materials
, development and maintenance of media contacts and database, media monitoring
and reporting
Qualifications and Requirements: journalistic work experience and training requ
ired (interview experience, writing skills, communicative personality, media co
ntacts)
Requested qualifications for both positions: basic knowledge of political and e
nvironmental situation in Central and Eastern Europe; fluent English; other Eas
tern European languages besides Hungarian and/or German would be useful but are
not required; computer knowledge; Internet application skills; ecological comm
itment; ready to develop and take part in actions; self-sufficiency in work; te
am player; time and geographic flexibility; ready to travel extensively; stres
s-resistance
Framework for both positions: 40 hours/week; located in Budapest; job starts ea
rly 2002; contract limited for one year; possibility to extend contract beyond
2003
Salary according to Hungarian NGO-standards
