Sorry to interrupt your undoubtebly interesting discussion, but I thought I not
iced some mistake.
First, it's not 'Clusenberg', but 'Clausenberg'. Secondly, in my language, Flem
ish, an ancient form of 'Nieder-Deutsch' or 'Diets' as we call it, there is no 
big difference between 'berg', 'bercht' or 'burcht', they all indicate a castel
 or citadel.
This may seem very trivial, but the first wave of 'German' immigration was main
ly composed of people who spoke this old-German and sometimes even came from th
e Low-Lands.
Mind you, we even still have our one denomination for the region: 'Zevenbergen'
, wich resembles the German 'Siebenburgen'.

Anyway, this is all rather interesting, but nevertheless not very relevant.
More important is that Cluj is nowadays a Romanian city, with a large ethnic Hu
ngarian population that wants preservation of their language, with a lot of pov
erty, very bad roads (I experienced them myself), an irregular energy supply, a
 magnificent inner city around the 'Gradina Botanica' that is asking for monume
ntal protection and a lot of other things to be taken care of.
Let's not waste too much energy, digging up old names and statues.
There are already too many problems over there, so what's the big fuss about th
e history of the city.
I never really bothered to know why all English and French-speaking people call
 my home town 'Malines', while every inhabitant calls it 'Mechelen'.

What's in a name? Not much.
The point is that the city should be a nice please to live in and to visit.
Cluj has a great opera, university and so on, but I still wouldn't like to live
 there nowadays; it's simply not a good place to live.

loving, crime-free people of this paradise on earth, Buddhism reached 
the 
zenith of its glory, Hinduism extended its philosophical frontiers into 
Shaivism and Shakth, and Islam achieved a new meaning and practice in 
Sufism and Rishi cult.

But with the rise of Islamic fundamentalism all over the world, a new 
breed of theo-fascist political philosophy accompanied by terrorism, 
violence, hatred, and intolerance was pushed into and peddled in the 
valley by Pakistan, turning the paradise of yesteryears into the hell 
that it 
is now.

This web site aims at putting up the story of Kashmir that it was and

one that it has become now.  Contrary to what is reported, India did not 
annex Kashmir. At the time of independence in 1947 and the subsequent
 partition of the country into theocratic Pakistan and secular India, 
the 
Hindu Maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir had the option to join, India, 
Pakistan, or remain independent. He contemplated the latter option, but 
after Pakistan invaded Kashmir hoping to preempt such a decision, he 
decided to accede to India. This accession was ratified by 
Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah, head of the biggest political party (the 
National Conference) representing the Muslim majority of the state. The 
Sheikh did so because he felt that the interests of Kashmiri Muslims, 
who 
practice the secular Sufi-Islamic way of life, would be best served 
under 
the protection of the Indian constitution. 

The present secessionist drive in Kashmir has its antecedents in the 
dissatisfaction of a small and insignificant section of Kashmiris 
(mostly 
political opponents of the Sheikh). However, since about 1985, this 
drive 
has been hijacked by Islamic fundamentalists who have resorted to 
terrorist tactics, targeting Hindus and secular Muslims. At present, 
they are 
engaged in a low- intensity war against India for establishment of a 
theocratic nation in Jammu and Kashmir.

These terrorists have completed a program of ethnic cleansing, expelling 
about 350,000 Kashmiri (Pandits) Hindus - something that has 
unfortunately gone largely unreported in the Western press. These 
Pandits 
are at present living as refugees in their own country.

Azt hiszem a nuanszok pont a szavak hasznalataban definialodnak minden 
nyelvben, bar hozza kell tennem, hogy semmit nem ertek a nyelveszethez.
En nem hiszem, hogy helyettesiteni kellene egy "jo magyar szoval", minel 
tobb szot hasznal egy nyelv, annal gazdagabb. Raadasul eleg nehez 
definialni, hogy mi is pontosan egy jo magyar szo. Csak egy peldat, hogy 
mire gondolok: A 'hamburger' az jo nagyar szo? Mi a helyzet a
