Oops! Sorry, Wally, I've just noticed that it was that Cretinu guy who
republished my article I posted originally on s.c.r. and he changed the
Subject line to "Joe Pannon @ s.c.r." You apparently responded to that
article without changing the Subject line. Due to the propogation
nature of Usenet, I saw your article before his. Apparently this idiot
decided to crosspost my articles I write to s.c.r. to s.c.m., regardless
whether they are relevant to s.c.m. or not. I think this is his way of
intimidating any Hungarians who dare to post on s.c.r.. He considers it
an exclusive Romanian sand box.

Irrelevent.

Are you the self-appointed amateur spell-checker of SCM?

I just like to remind you that I have been published because I have
quality material recognized by qualified peers -- which is why I have
complete disdain for you input in any literary matters. You simply do not
have the write stuff -- too fucken bad for you.

Idiom my dear boy, idiom. It is correctly spelled within that context. You
have heard of the literary concept of contextualism haven't you? But then
again you are unpublished -- you are a mere reader.

Oh I've enjoyed the company of several of Hungary's finest poets and
writers and dissidents. I know about character little student boy. I
recognize that I've seen more character in a arborite counter-top in a
roadkill grill&diner than you possess.

It's not a matter of pride. It is simply a part, get it, A PART, of life,
living and character. I am many many things, much more things than what I
posted. I am good at some things, worse at others, adequate with a few,
sloppy with this or that, damn good at a couple, so on and so forth.
Character is not something I wish to restrain in a straight jacket of prim
and proper and politically correct.

Obviously you have a serious problem -- I told you to stay the fuck out of
my way. Now stay the fuck out of my way. How many times do I have to tell
you, you little puddle of toxic waste.

BUCHAREST, Nov. 16 (UPI) -- Romania's Foreign Minister rebuked
President Ion Iliescu's public warning that the nation would plunge into
civil war if ethnic Hungarians were co-opted in the post-election new
government, the press reported Saturday.
``Frankly, the Hungarian threat cannot be thoroughly overridden,
but
I think that what happened in (Central) Europe's federal states is no
longer valid for Romania,'' Teodor Melescanu told Romania Libera
newspaper.
Iliescu, in full swing of his campaign for a third mandate ahead
of
Sunday's run-off, had recently warned electors in multi-ethnic
Transylvania, northwestern Romania, that the planned presence of ethnic
Hungarians in the new government would trigger national riots.
Melescanu, co-opted in Iliescu's campaign staff for the last
two
months, went so far as to criticize the president's relentless attacks
on his challenger Emil Constantinescu instead of pedaling on his own
offer.
``I really do not have much in common with a lot of members of
(Iliescu's) Social Democracy Party, but the idea of my being there
somehow boosted its image,'' Melescanu confessed to Romania Libera.
Under constant pressure from SDP to join its ranks while in
power,
but also intensely courted by the opposition to preserve his job in the
new Cabinet, Melescanu chose to apply for a United Nations International
Law Committee.
Asked if Romania would have had more chances to be ushered into
NATO
and the European Union without Iliescu as president in the last seven
years, Melescanu put it diplomatically that the president is elected by
the people of his country.
``I hope with all my heart that after the coming elections
things
will work out much better,'' said Melescanu.
Opinion polls released shortly before Sunday's run-off
indicated
Iliescu had slumped five points behind Constantinescu's 52 percent.
