Gyerekek, akik iskolaskor elott azt hiszem ingyen utazhatnak. A metron
egyszeruen a beengedo zsilip alatt atsetalhatnak, senki nem szol semmit.
Egyetlen kedvezmeny van NY-ban az ugynevezett Metrocard-on, megpedig minden
tizedik utra egy ingyenes utat kapsz, ha egyszerre veszed meg a tizet.
Masszoval, ha 15 dollarert kersz Metrocard-ot, akkor 11 utat kapsz, 30 dollarer

22-t, stb. Van turistaknak napijegy is, de arrol sokat nem tudok, mert nem
hasznalom, nem hiszem, hogy kedvezmenyesebb lenne mint a fenti.

En Queensben lattam eleg sok motelt, de biztos van Brooklynban is. Sajnos nem
ismerem a helyzetet, talan az Interneten meg lehetne nezni neveket/
telefonszamokat. Manhattanben, azt jol tudod, nagyon dragak a szallodak, meg a
legvacakabb szoba is $100-ba kerul. Autoberlest kifejezetten nem ajanlom. Nem
csak azert, mert nagyon draga, hanem mert nagyon nehez parkolni, mert rengeteg
a
parkolasi megszoritas (az utcakat seprik, tuzcsapok, stb). Erzekeltetesul: neke

nincs kocsim, pont a fenti okbol, de egy hetre kaptam egyet kolcson egy
barattol, es jollehet ismerem a rendszabalyokat, ketszer is felreertelmeztem a
tablat, ami ketszer 55 dollaromba kerult. Manhattanbe gyalog es busszal/metrova
l
mindenhova el lehet jutni.
Szamokra leforditva: egy heti kocsiberles legalabb $300, parkolas oranal 15
percre $.25, garazsban minimum $10 orankent!

Hungarian students and young professionals in the Washington, DC
Metropolitan Area cordially invite you and your friends to our semi-annual
picnic. Join us for an afternoon of fun, food and music. (if you would

Directions - Helyszin
By car
- from the Beltway go South on MD 185 (Connecticut Ave)
- proceed South, past Chevy Chase circle
- pass Albemarle street
- make a left onto Tilden Street
- make a right at Linnean Ave (Spring of Freedom Street), the park is
at the end of the loop (next to the Hungarian Embassy).
By metro
- take the Red Line metro to the Van Ness - UDC station
- after exiting the Red Line Van Ness - UDC station, the escalators
lead up to Connecticut Avenue
- head South towards downtown on Connecticut
- pass Van Ness Street and traffic light
- at the next traffic light turn left on to Tilden Street
- head all the way down on Tilden, but before you come across a little
bridge and traffic light, turn right (to your left you will see The
Rock Creek Gallery and the Pierce Mill, to your right you will find
the Hungarian Embassy, the picnic area is across from it)
