I didn't  mean to imply that slang terms aren't "regular" words.

It's more a question of tone and style.

"My response to the interrogative was in the affirmative"

should probably have a different translation than

"I answered yup"

But it's an art, not a science, so whatever works, works...

The EXPO was cancelled !!!

Dear listmembers:

        I have a friend who is attending the Medical University of Debrecen.
He does not know how to use the e-mail system and standard mail often takes
six weeks or more to arrive.  Does anyone know Marc Fitten?  His family
is Panamanian, but he is more recently from Atlanta, Georgia USA.  His
friends here in the US miss him and I hope someone can help us.  What is
the internet system like in Hungary? at the Medical University in
Debrecen?  I have been able to reach the university computer system only
to be denied access when I get there.  I think our systems do not mesh
comfortably.  I do not have this problem with other universities in the
area.  My problem in those systems is that I do not speak Hungarian.  If
anyone can help me I would appriciate your assistance.
