                                       Instructors Positions


The Department seeks to fill five posts for Instructors for the MSc
program in Environmental Sciences and Policy beginning mid-September
1996.

The course is divided into five modules;  modules one through four
lasting six weeks, and the final research module lasting approximately
5 months.  Modules one through four involve lectures, seminars and
field trips.  Instructors are required to assist in the day-to-day
running of the course, hold tutorials and chair discussion groups. 
Module five involves the monitoring of students' Masters theses and
preparation for the following year.

The language of instruction is English.  Travel to and from Budapest
and accommodations in the CEU Student Center will be provided, along
with $800/month salary.

The applicant must have a background in some aspect of environmental
sciences and policy and some experience dealing with postgraduate
level students.  A graduate or postgraduate degree (Masters of PhD) is
an advantage.

Fund-raising Coordinator

The Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe, a
respected international organization, is now accepting applications
for the Budapest-based position of Fund-raising Coordinator. 
Responsibilities include developing a fund-raising campaign for
businesses and up-scale individuals and coordinating overall
fund-raising activities with the management team.  Qualifications for
this challenging position include a minimum of two years' experience
in fund-raising, marketing or public relations; excellent English
communication and presentation skills; solid organizational skills;
